What is the N.S.E.C?
The National Student Events Conference is organised annually by Events Management students from the University of Derby.
This one day conference titled ‘From Here To Reality’ will be taking place between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Friday April 24th at Derby University’s Kedleston road Campus, the day will consist of a variety of keynote speeches and workshop sessions delivered by event professionals; each tailored to different areas of the events industry, this is also a great opportunity for students to network with the professionals.
The theme of this years conference From here to reality looks at the transition between being a student and becoming a full time event professional. Speakers will be dedicating part of their sessions to give advice on how students can make themselves employable and get ready for the reality of the events industry.
Registering to attend this event
Anyone studying Events Management is welcome to attend this event; however places are limited and will be given on a first come first serve basis. Registration opens on Monday March 23rd and will close as soon as places are full, so don’t risk waiting; register now to secure your place.
Derby University students can access the online registration page, and register themselves individually.
Other Universities wishing to attend this event need to send an email to nsec2009@live.co.uk stating the name of your university and the number of students you wish to bring. We will them confirm these numbers and get back to you to inform you of when your students can register their details online.
